Yeah.. i know, i'm 24. BUT FUCK WHO CARES! ANIMES AIN'T FOR ONLY KIDS ANYMORE SO STOP BEING SQUARE! *AHEm* Sorry.. had to let that out. Blame my family for being stupid/old fashioned/stero-types. I ain't watching Pokemon crap man, or whatever thats on the Saturday morning kid's channel. What i'm about to review are animes that's for the Seinen (Young Adults). So if you're underaged, do me a favour and close this page please. OK.. on to the reviews
Kemonodzume
Don't be fooled by the screenshot you guys found on the internet for this anime. The drawings may be shitty but you'll feel even shittier if you realised you've just missed out on this dope show. Loaded with originality and a unique style, something a standard anime always lacks. Be cautious while watching this show though, because it packs some serious sex scenes (not entirely explicit though due to weird art style, but enough to make your mom scream and ban you from using the pc). It's not just normal sex, theres MONSTER SEX (eew? lol).. and lots of it. You havta watch it to know what i'm talking about before jumping to any conclusion. To think there are people that still regard anime as something thats generally only for kids. Whoever you are.. please fuckin' grow up.
Basilisk -The Kouga Ninja Scrolls-
This series is of epic proportion. No, i'm serious. Why? Because you get to watch 24 episode of OVA quality animation. Yes, it's that good. 24 episodes of movie quality animation seriously sound too good to be true. Gonzo certainly done it this time. Oh, don't get me wrong, this series is not only good cos of its animation, the story is pretty tight as well. If any of you watched the Live action Japanese movie SHINOBI or heard of it, yeah.. Shinobi is based off Basilisk. But the movie have its original story butchered severely and have several characters changed to suit the silver screen. Original story is based on the novel by Futaro Yamada and then theres a manga adaption by Masaki Segawa. I was pretty much captivated by the story after i watched a couple of episode so i bought the manga and was extremely impressed by how close the anime adapted to the manga. Almost all scenarios in the manga are not changed in the anime at all. It is as close as the how the story pans in the panels of the manga. There are lots of very violent scenes of body being stabbed/torn apart/sliced and the anime delivered most of its content faithfully. Except for some small little adjustments so the series don't end up becoming too adult that it has to fall into the ero category. And to top it off the anime featured an expanded fight scene (Between Gennosuke and Tenzen) not found in the manga which is a rather brief encounter between the two.
Welcome to the NHK!
Among all the animes i've watched the past weeks, i guess i enjoyed this one the most. First of all is because, i can almost relate to the main character Tatsuhiro Sato. He's basically a jobless university dropout (Though i didn't drop out of Uni) that lives a reclusive life as a Hikikomori (Look up this word in wiki if you don't understand). He then meet a girl named Misaki Nakahara that offered to help him get rid of his Hikikomori ways. I'm not gonna go further into it, so i'll just leave it to you to watch. This anime brings up issues such as Otaku, internet suicides, Galge (erotic games) and addiction to MMO games and present it in the most interesting ways. I for one who have lived a life thats almost similar to Tatsuhiro Sato was slapped hard on my face after watching this show, it touched so many aspects of my life that i used to go through (especially the MMO addiction part). Animation is done by Gonzo again but it's not consistent. After the first 10 episode, you'll realise the key animator has changed to some other guy due to the obvious quality drop in the drawings. Currently at episode 19 of 24 so its not finished yet.

At times the world can seem an unfriendly and sinister place. But believe us when we say that there's much more good in it than bad. And what might seem to be a series of unfortunate events, may in fact be the first steps of a journey...
nice pic btw

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
